They also have the record for being the band which has played with the largest number of musicians: wherever they go, they get involved in cooperative projects with local musicians&#8230;\u00a0In by.<br \/>\nShe looked so sweet from her two bare feet\u00a0to the sheen of her nut brown hair.<br \/>\nSuch a coaxing elf, sure I shook myself\u00a0for to see I was really there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From Bantry Bay up to Derry Quay and\u00a0<strong>from Galway to Dublin Town,<\/strong><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>No maid I&#8217;ve seen like the brown colleen\u00a0<strong>that I met in the County Down<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At the Harvest Fair she&#8217;ll be surely there\u00a0and I&#8217;ll dress in my Sunday clothes,<br \/>\nWith my shoes shone bright and my hat cocked right\u00a0for a smile from my nut brown rose.<br \/>\nNo pipe I&#8217;ll smoke, no horse I&#8217;ll yoke\u00a0till my plough turns rust coloured brown.<br \/>\nTill a Thanks to his father\u2019s extensive record collection, he was exposed to music early and joined his first band at twelve.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 \u00a0Them<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Morrison gained his first taste of success outside his homeland with the group Them in the mid-\u201860s. Their live shows, plus hits like their <em>\u201cBaby, Please Don\u2019t Go\u201d<\/em> cover got them noticed, and while Morrison penned the popular anthem, <em>\u201cGloria,\u201d<\/em> during his time with the band, he left Them in 1966 to pursue a solo career.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 \u00a0Solo Debut<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He then recorded several tracks for Bang Records, which were released as Van Morrison\u2019s solo debut, <strong>Blowin\u2019 Your Mind!<\/strong> in 1967. He expanded his spiritual interests in many of that decade\u2019s albums.
