This version features heavy use of a\u00a0synthesizer, played by\u00a0Eddie Van Halen\u00a0\u00a0\u2193<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eiN1zFqag9k\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2666 \u00a0A third hit version was done by\u00a0<strong><a title=\"Mick Jagger\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mick_Jagger\">Mick Jagger<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong><a title=\"David Bowie\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/David_Bowie\">David Bowie<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0as a duo in\u00a01985, as part of the\u00a0Live Aid\u00a0charity movement. The original plan was to perform a track together live, with Bowie performing at\u00a0Wembley Stadium\u00a0and Jagger at\u00a0John F. Kennedy Stadium, until it was realized that the\u00a0satellite\u00a0link-up would cause a half-second delay that would make this impossible unless either Bowie or Jagger mimed their contribution, something neither artist was willing to do. In 1968 Jagger and Keith Richards had already \u00abborrowed\u00bb a line from the song in <em>\u00abStreet Fighting Man\u00bb<\/em> &#8211; \u00ab<i>Cause summer&#8217;s here and the time is right for fighting in the street, boy.\u00bb<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In June 1985, Bowie was recording his contributions to the\u00a0<i><a title=\"Absolute Beginners (film)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Absolute_Beginners_(film)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Absolute Beginners<\/a><\/i>\u00a0soundtrack\u00a0at\u00a0Abbey Road Studios, and so Jagger arranged to fly in to record the track there.
