Born in Kielce, Poland in 1945,\u00a0\u2192Rafal Olbinski<\/strong><\/a> studied architecture before dedicating himself to painting\u00a0and\u00a0design. He graduated from the Architectural Department of Warsaw Politechnical School.<\/p>\n

In 1982 he immigrated to the US, where he soon established himself as a prominent painter, illustrator and\u00a0designer. In 1985, he began teaching at the School of Visual Arts in New York. His\u00a0illustrations regularly appear in major publications such as Newsweek, Time, Business Week, Atlantic Monthly, Playboy, Omni, The New York Times, New Yorker and Der Spiegel.<\/p>\n

For his artistic achievements, he has received more than 150 awards including Gold and Silver Medals from the\u00a0Society of Illustrators in New York and Los Angeles, and The Big Crit 2000 award by Critique Magazine in San\u00a0Francisco.<\/em>
