All of these longer phrases go at the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">beginning<\/span> or the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">end<\/span> of the sentence but not in the middle.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>once in a while:<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0I go to the cinema<em> once in a while.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>every now and again: \u00a0<\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>She drinks wine<em> every now and again.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>from time to time:<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0<em>From time to time <\/em>I visit my mother.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To say how often something happens, you can use a number (or<em> &#8216;several&#8217;<\/em>), followed by <strong>&#8216;times&#8217;. \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>If the number is one, use <strong>&#8216;once&#8217;<\/strong> instead of &#8216;one time&#8217;. If the number is two use <strong>&#8216;twice&#8217;<\/strong>, \u00a0instead of &#8216;two times&#8217;) Then add <strong>&#8216;a&#8217;<\/strong> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a period of time<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><em>I go to the cinema\u00a0<strong>twice a week.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>She takes these tablets\u00a0<strong>three times a day.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>I change the sheets\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>once a fortnight<\/em> \u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0(fortnight = two weeks).<\/li>\n<li><em>I meet him\u00a0<strong>several times a year.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>I visit my parents\u00a0<strong>once a month.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We can also use <strong>&#8216;every&#8217;<\/strong> + period of time:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>every &#8230;
